This artwork represents my great aunt and the memories of the stories she told me. She was such a proud Aboriginal woman and fought so hard through such difficult times in our country.
I remember sitting down with her whilst she drank a cuppa, telling us all of the stories of her and my nan.
Aunty Ellen is now in dreamtime, but her spirit is with us always.
