This piece was created for the Visit Victoria Autumn Magazine Cover.
Painting this piece brought me so much joy, as the Autumn colour pallet is full of warm colours that encourage emotions of love. These are colours that I traditionally don't work with as well which challenged my creative self to storytell through a new pallet. Autumn is such a beautiful time of the year so to be able to create a piece that encapsulates the feeling that this season provides, was thoroughly enjoyable.
As a Victorian Aboriginal woman myself, currently residing in Melbourne, This piece gave me new feelings of gratitude as it allowed me to interpret the place I call home.
