Artwork Story

This artwork represents the ever-present connection I have to Gunditjmara Country, no matter where I am, but also the indescribable feelings associated with returning home. It is difficult to articulate what it feels like to return to Country – a deep sense of comfort, acceptance, and belonging. It’s as if the land, sea, and sky itself is welcoming me back, wrapping me in its familiar embrace. The sights, sounds, and smells bring a sense of peace, reminding me that this place is a part of who I am.
