Artwork Story
This piece represents the Bunurong People of the Kulin Nation, and their ongoing cultural connection to the land that GESAC is located on (Bentleigh East, Victoria).
The multiple meeting places are symbolic of the diverse community of people that come together at GESAC's facilities.
The water journey marks the Bunurong people's connection to water as people of the South East coast line, and GESAC's amazing water facilities.
The people symbols (āUā shapes) are representative of the GESAC community, including the numerous staff who put in their time and energy to allow for the operation of the facility.
